It is a matter of judgement when to move on with slower learners.

For those with a deficit of visual memory it is acceptable to move on with some evidence of skill.

Stage 1

The teaching of the beginning diagraphs

These diagraphs are selected for teaching as they don’t sound as they are written.

Now test the beginning diagraphs.
